Traveller Information Privacy
This notice describes the data handling built into trovebiscuitradar.cfd, an independent static editorial website.
Reading the website
You do not need an account to read the guides. The site’s own code does not install advertising trackers, analytics scripts, third-party embedded media or a booking system. Photographs, styles and scripts are requested from this site rather than an external image or font service.
Serving a website necessarily involves technical requests. A hosting provider may process IP addresses, requested URLs, browser information, timestamps and security logs to deliver and protect the service. The static website code does not determine a hosting provider’s precise log settings or retention periods, so we do not claim that visiting produces no server records.
The contact composer
Text entered into the contact composer is processed in your browser. The tool has no server submission endpoint and does not automatically email, upload or store your draft in local storage. Navigating away may discard your draft; browser autofill or session-restoration features are controlled by your browser.
Copy Message places the draft on your device’s clipboard when you request it and your browser permits it. Download Text creates a plain-text file on your device. Other software with clipboard or file access may be able to read those copies. You are responsible for deleting copies you no longer need.
If you send an email
Sending an email is a separate action using your chosen email service. Your message may contain your address, name, message text and technical email metadata. Such information is used to consider your enquiry, handle a correction or respond where appropriate, not to subscribe you to a mailing list.
Email services process correspondence under their own terms. Avoid sending sensitive personal data, payment information or documents identifying other travellers. Relevant correspondence may be kept while an enquiry or correction is being handled and where necessary for security or legal obligations; no fixed retention period is represented here.
Browser preferences
If you choose a preference on the Cookies page, the site stores the value “accept” or “essential” under the key tbr-privacy-preference in localStorage. This is browser storage, not an HTTP cookie. It contains no name, email address or contact draft and is not transmitted by this site’s script.
The value stays in that browser until cleared by you or the browser. You can change or remove it on the preference controls page. Blocking storage does not prevent you from reading the site.
External sources
Following an external source link takes you to a separate website. That operator controls its own privacy practices, cookies and services. Your browser may send ordinary connection and referrer information according to its settings. Our linking to a source is not control over that source’s data handling.
Your questions and rights
Depending on your location and the applicable law, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, restriction or objection concerning personal information, and to complain to a relevant privacy authority. To raise a question about information you have sent, contact [email protected]. Include enough context to identify the correspondence without sending unnecessary identity documents.
We cannot erase files or clipboard contents stored on your device, or records controlled independently by an external website. Browser settings are the appropriate place to clear local site data.
Changes to this notice
This notice should be read alongside the Cookies page and Travel Editorial Terms. If site functionality changes, the corresponding data handling and notice will need to reflect that change.
